Kafr Nabl sports club has hosted a series of volleyball games as clubs across Idlib compete to join a new league, the first of its kind in Syria’s liberated areas.
The Syrian Free Volleyball Federation organised the matches between 18 clubs from across the northern Syria province.
Most of the matches took place at the Kafr Nabl sports club from February 10 to 24, 2017, and were held under the auspices of the Union of Revolutionary Bureaus. Ali Ismail, secretary of the Federation’s competitions committee, explained that the clubs were divided into three groups. Those that came first and second place would be accredited, as well as the two best clubs ranked in third place.
