The List: Who has been arrested where in Syria in March 2011?

Day by day Syrian security forces arrest protesters, human rights activists, lawyers and ordinary citizens expressing their opinion. Human Rights Organizations struggle to keep track of all the arrests – but have managed to compile a rather comprehensive – yet not complete – list of arrests made over the the past month. The information provided includes name, name and date of birth, reason of arrest and some additional information on legal proceedings. The list also includes protesters who meanwhile have been released.

The Arabic original will be updated on a daily basis, we will try to keep the English as much up to date as possible as well.
