Sports Instead of War for Syrian Children

The Syrian Children’s Sports Centre in the city of Kafr Nabl is one of eight facilities established by the Free Syrian Football Union in liberated areas of Idlib.

The centre in the southern countryside of Idlib provides children with an opportunity to escape the conflict and learn football skills with others of the same age. The centre’s organisers also try to set up competitions and events, working with local parents to boost children’s skills and confidence.

The centre is supported by the Syrian Regional Labour Organisation and sponsored by the General Authority for Sports and Youth.
