Power Supplies Boosted in Idlib

After more than six years of power outages, electricity produced in regime-controlled plants has returned to the liberated areas following an agreement between opposition factions and the Damascus government.

Many locals, including traders and the owners of water wells, have expressed their delight with the agreement as it will alleviate the rise in price of goods in general and help with delivering both water and street lighting to the area. Maintenance workshops have begun working to connect as many citizens as possible to the power lines. Ahmed al-Ikla prepared this report from the city of Idlib.
