From Activist to Activist – a series of online talks on the Syrian Revolution
A year and a half has passed since the uprising in Syria began. Time to look back and reflect about what has happened so far as well as to look ahead. While fighting on the ground intensifies, we want to keep the dialogue alive. Join Damascus Bureau in cooperation with Cyber Arabs for a series of online lectures from activist to activists.
Experts in the documentation of human rights violations, journalists, and policy researchers talk about their experiences, their challenges, their hopes and their fears.
How can sectarianism be avoided?
How can the ongoing violations of human rights be documented so one day there will be enough evidence to hold those responsible accountable?
How can activists on the ground cover the day to day events to make sure the narrative of the revolution gets out to the world?
The speakers will hold their lectures online, and you can join us from anywhere.
The first online lecture will take place on Wednesday, November 14, at 8 p.m. EET (Damascus time).
Rami Nakhle will talk about the danger of sectarianism and how to counter it.
