A new campaign aims to provide psychological and social support to children with special needs in the war-torn city of Qamishli.
The organisation Tufulati (My Childhood) combined efforts with a number of civil society organisations to launch a scheme called Biniqdar (We Can).
Tufulati threw a party for a group of children that gave them the opportunity to dance, sing, take part in competitions and watch a play entitled Will You Accept Me?
A similar event was also held in the city of Amuda by the Nujyan association for children with special needs. Kurdish singer Khoshnaf Tilu performed at the Amuda party, along with a number of children from the Nujyan association.
Damascus Bureau’s Bukhityar Hassan attended both functions and took the following photographs.
