Army tanks shelling Al-Hara now, 8 people were killed. Shelling also targets houses of Imams Mohammad Al-Akla and Khaled Al-Faroukh

An eyewitness says: Snipers were spread around the Baladi field which has detainees inside it. Security forces still fire on soldiers who defected and refused to fire on innocent civilians. Security forces were also firing on civilians after they invaded the Suleimaniyeh area and looted some shops.
Heavy bombing on Bab Amr and Aldubiyeh areas started around 5 AM and lasted until 7 AM. Area was sealed off by a 500 meters cordon from the Brazil street. There are talks of many Martyrs, a confirmed dead is Maher Naqro (Christian) who was shot while leaving home.
Life is normal around the market place area in the city centre
Banyas
- Security forces are still looking for some of the organizers of the demonstration in Banyas.
- Two injured protesters were getting medical treatment in Al-Jamea hospital, from there they were taken to a public hospital and no one knows anything about them till now.
- The detainees who were released said that they were brutally beaten and torture while they were detained.
Damascus
- Syrian opposition member Mazen Adi has been missing since yesterday afternoon. It is believed that he was arrested because of his remarks in the media in past couple of days. He was born in Hama in 1953 and is a leading member of the People’s Democratic Party and the National Democratic Gathering.
- Medical students Raba Al-Labwani, Ammar Al-Labwani, Siba Hassan, Mohammad Darwish and Riban Suleiman, detained on March 16 at the sit-in in front of the Ministry of Interior organized by families of prisoners of conscience and then released, were referred today to Damascus University’s Penalty Committee.

The political activist Wael Al-Qaq was arrested yesterday on the Lebanese-Syrian border.
