Residents of Idlib’s southern countryside have been learning practical ways to rebuild lives disrupted by conflict in a series of awareness workshops.
The Syria Relief and Development (SRD) aid organisation, which provides aid and relief services to citizens affected by the war, held training on four areas: human rights, health education, communal violence, and energy saving.
Participants, drawn from areas including Kfar Nabel, Hass, Jarjnaz and Maarat Hurma, were also trained on the safe use of fuel and heaters.
The organisation grants beneficiaries support through restoring their houses, providing them with heaters, fuel and solar panels, and distributing food rations.
Damascus Bureau’s Mostafa al-Jalal attended one of these workshops and took the following photographs.
