Dammeh for Alleviating the Suffering of Syrian Refugees in Lebanon
The Dammeh organisation began working in the city of al-Zabadani in rural Damascus in 2013, focusing on relief, development and education. Later on, the organisation expanded to Lebanon to help address the urgent needs of Syrian refugees.
The organisation is primarily concerned with education and its goal is to support children in learning basic subjects to improve their educational process and psychological state. Several obstacles impeded its progress in Lebanon, but Dammeh was able to overcome them and obtain an authorisation which enabled them to expand their activities and improve their financial situation as well.
Mohammed Hassan visited the organisation’s headquarters and its affiliated school and returned with this report.
